Quick questions. What is the Sparkplug Tap size for 49-53 Ford Flathead? Tried a search on here with no luck. Just wanting to clean up the threads prior to install. If i need to repair any of the plug holes, where can I find the repair kits? Also, where is a good source for a head stud kit? Thanks in advance, CTJ

They have 14MM thread and I wouldn't use a tap but a thread chaser instead.

Use a small diameter cut-off wheel and cut a vertical slot thru the threads of an old plug. Only about thread depth and bias the slot so one edge wants to cut when turned into the hole. Sorta like a single flute tap but it won't remove any metal.

Thats the way my Dad taught me to do it. Same thing for head studs to clean out the block, never use a tap.
