A WWII fighter aircraft engine and an open diff will do that :)

But another illustration of what Rudge wire wheels will handle.

Great! Looks like an Ozzie Cotten Werksman.

That car is just so cool. I wonder how much it weighs? Track / wheelbase? Drive train? Anyone know? Gary

Don't know any specs on it, but it appears to be pretty typical A-7 drivetrain. Kinda reminds me of a 30s champ car that got shrunk in the wash.

    We've had Bentley 3/8-litre specials and Mk V/VI specials. Here's a 3/4½ special I recently came across:

I've had the 30 Chevy out on the road. Probably going to get a ticket with this one for going to fast. It's a blast to drive and it handles fairly well. TAIL.jpg TAIL.jpg SEAT.jpg FRONT-HIGH.jpg

Beautiful. That thing is so clean, it doesn't appear to have ever seen gas, oil, or dirt.

With so many photos missing from this and most other threads since the upgrade of the site it's a real shame. It's hard to stay interested with so many photos gone.

Sadly some very interesting websites are now defunct, e.g. www.1950sspecials.com, www.hsta.co.uk.

It seems the HSTA site is still with us, and merely rearranged a bit. The images of the Cannon trials car are still intact:

I've just gone through and restored a bunch of photos, which are located elsewhere on the HAMB and got "lost" with the recent revamp. Take a look.

I was meant to upholster that car and all of a sudden it was cancelled, dunno if it's been finished or not

You can get a fairly good look at Lancia's interpretation of the sliding-pillar front suspension in some of the pics.

Came across these shots of a neat little roadrace special from the early 50s. Don't know anything about it but it appears to have a ohc conversion on a ....? .... spec 1.JPG spec 2.JPG spec 3.JPG spec 4.JPG
