Not quite specials as described in Post #1 — but it'd be right at home in the Automotive Weirdness thread.

It's owner a Hamber @richie oneill also chimed in on the Thread and really did share it all in addition to Jive's info...just amazing really...

Morris 8 with Ford 100E flathead four cylinder, supercharged. (31st Rob Roy Historic & Classic Hillclimb, 19 Nov. 2023; hosted by MG Car Club Victoria)
Interesting special there. I wonder if it still has the Morris 8 gearbox? this four speed unit will fit straight onto the back of the 1172cc Ford side valve motors.
'1938 Hartwig Fargo' (I should have got more pics of this.) 31st Rob Roy Historic & Classic Hillclimb, 19 Nov. 2023
Rob Roy website very interesting. One section on flathead Ford specials includes twin engine v8. Worth a looksee
We just have bought the Bunce Renault with my buddy Jean-Pierre and we are looking for any information for restoring it before the event "Le Circuit des Remparts" in September 2024 at Angoulême (France) where Renault 4CV/Dauphine engined sports cars will be hosted ( 20 cars are expected). For the moment, we only know what was mentioned when the car was for sale on BaT site in 2020. Any kind of information is welcome!

Humbug: "Throughout the twenties and thirties Capt. G.E.T. Eyston was an inveterate circuit and road racing competitor and also a three-times world landspeed record breaker. In 1933 he commissioned the building of a special bodied MG K3 Magnette in which he successfully competed for two years. The K3 Magnette was nicknamed the ‘Humbug’ due to its contrasting horizontal lines and it was in this car that he broke twelve endurance speed records at the French Montlhery circuit. The under-the-skin photo was taken during the construction of the car, while the at speed shot was taken during a record breaking attempt."
The racing car in the background of this photo could be the Tim Joshua Frazer Nash (with an Alfa Romeo [?] behind it). 'Les Burrows Terraplane Special'; Hal Coulson photo [Herald & Weekly Times]; State Library of Victoria. primotipo suggests that this photo is from the 1939 Australian GP at Lobethal, South Australia. [Edit: this has to be the Tim Joshua Frazer Nash. Going by the shape of the front axle, the axle's visual prominence and the shape of the car's nose, it can't be anything else.]
'MG chassis with 6-cylinder engine'; photos by George Thomas [1928-2013]; State Library of Victoria; I guess it was going to receive a 'specials' body. [try this link to the pics on the library website: http://handle.slv.vic.gov.au/10381/463756] There is a ton of data in the original photos - use the magnification facility on the web site to see more detail.
