This 1932 Amilcar M2 just popped up for sale on a local website. It was my project a good 35 years ago. I never got further than bead blasting the whole thing and painting the chassis, springs and axles. Only body panels i had were the hood and firewall. I sold it to a old fella who only had one arm . The funds payed for the deposit on buying the house and garage i,m still in. He told me as a youngster in Amsterdam he had a Amilcar and wanted to replicate his old car. About 20 years ago he sent me a photo of the wooden structure he was making for the boat-tail body. Anyhow the ad says still not finished due to health reasons . btw, this car is just a little to sturdy for the cyclecar thread.

Thompson Products, Inc. was a Cleveland OH company that merged with Ramo-Wooldridge Corporation in 1958 to form Thompson Ramo Wooldridge, Inc., which later became TRW Inc. I wonder if that is the same Thompson Products? They were big in early aviation too. EDIT: Also note the headrest. That must have been one of the earliest cars to have used a headrest, whch I have traced back as early as 1934.
Sure. And if she was good at driving I just may give her the job. I've done a photo shoot with a friend's girlfriend in/on my street rods for a calendar as a gift to her boyfriend. Years ago my wife made a quarter mile pass in my RPU. And I often offer fans the opportunity to let their kiddies sit in my altered for a photo op. Its all good for the hobby.
