I'm trying to find replacement screws/bolts for the himges on my f-1. To get the same thing through a local fastener store, I have to buy $85 worth. Are there specialy automotive fasterner suppliers you're aware of? I think I've seen an ad for one that had a "cartoon" character made out of a bolt. Thanks
Try restorationspecialties.com or fastenal.com. I go to my local Fastenal store and can order anything in singles if I want. They can get lots of wierd stuff, too.
Ray Nascewicz in Michigan, probably misspelled here, supplies '32-53 Ford fasteners in original finishes, very good looking hardware for the original bits on a rod and I think higher quality than much of the restoration repro stuff out there. I'll try to find a connection--he doesn't have a website. MSC industrial supply has everything normal and lots of oddball problem solving stuff, and doesn't seem to mind small orders. There are lots of aircraft places like Aircraft Spruce that supply amateur quantities of high quality hardware, including again strange stuff that might supply a solution to a problem.

For the good qualiy non restorer stuff, chrome, grade 8, stainless, etc. I've ordered 1 bolt from them and it came over the weekend. http://www.gardner-westcott.com/
