A local buddy is looking for the specs on an old Engle solid lifter roller cam model # L 155. It is for a small block Chevy, and he wants to find out what the valve lash settings are for intake and exhaust, and the lift and duration. He's putting it back in a 1962 that it was in back in the day. He purchased this back in 1969 from Gary at Dynamic Engines on Gratiot Ave. in Detroit. If anyone has an old old Engle catalog they might be able to find it there. The current Engle company was no help at all. He really need this info and is a very good pal of mine so I would consider it a pesonal favor if anyone that has the information would share it. Thanks
I've got four Engle catalogs from the '60s and early '70s, and none of them show a L155 grind. They do show a roller #L154; it's got .540 lift and 316 degrees of advertised duration. The lash specs on it are .016/.018.
I have my Engle cat. in front of me.[Gary Kohler at Dynamic gave it to me 45 years ago ] Part no.1010 L-155 competion unblown Ex-84-44 Int 44-84 Duration 308 Lift .560 Lash-.015. Hope it helps Bob
From Roy........ That was great. That is exactly what I was looking for. Could you ask Bob-T if the Intake and Exhaust were both set to .015". And tell them both, thanks so much. I owe them both! I don't know how else I could have ever got this info.
