Event Coverage Speed Capitol of the World on the Discovery Channel Mon, Jan 5th, 10pm EST

Bonneville is great but the Speed Capital of the world is Demorestville Ontario (near Picton) were there is quite literally one race car per household.

 

My Discovery channels don't list this for today, tomorrow or Jan. 5. Any help from Canadians.
Seems like we're always getting "looked after" by our Govt. (A--holes)

 

I looked it up and my cable provider has it on at 10.00 and at 2.00 tonight here on the west coast.

I wonder if there will be a dramatic decrease on the HAMB tonight between 10pm -1am EST??? Or do some folks like myself surf on a laptop in the living room watching TV at the same time.

 

Not to burst any bubbles here but there is going to be no coverage of the OLD CROW speed shop at bonneville on the discovery channel special. They have decided not to show that portion in the United States. Evidently it will be shown on the broadcast to Europe and Asia but not here. I don't know the reason for this decision and as far as I know neither does Lucky or Bobby.

I'm still gonna watch it though.

denise, were you asked to sign a waiver? our buddy frosty was at the starting line and had to sign one. i didn't know the footage they shot was intended for a horror film.

I didn't sign one, my face wasn't showing. Look for a black go-cart, white seat with a tall, don't hit me, orange flag. The angle was taken from the air.

not this year, although last year he stripped down to his tighty whities and did his rollie free imitation. he was having too much fun until the officials told him to knock it off.

 

I don't think we're gunna see it in the Seattle area. No listing so far. Anybody? Oh well, saw it in person. Have to live with that.

 

The HAMB's very own Chaz was shown and heard within the first 60 seconds....."If you love cars you'd better get your ass down here"

 

The old crow tanker was in the first 60 secs. The onboard shot from the front drivers side wheel pointed back toward the cockpit. Only lasted a second or two, but that tanker is very recognizable.

 

anyone recording that can get it off their DVR? I need to go to bed, early day, with snow too...fun....I'll pay for the copy..I just want to see it as the team may be in it (background stuff haha) plus I want to see it to see it...thanks guys.

 

I must have missed them in the first segment, they were in the beginging of the second segment for a split second or two as well.

No go here north of the border unfortunately.....sounds like it would have been a good watch

 

They may be mega buck,mega tech machines but,they still have hot rod issues. cracked tanks,bad wires...good show...

I thought the programing was great and looking forward to more coverage in hopefully more episodes.

we would have seen more if they didn't keep reshowing the same scenes all the time that pisses me right off , I don't have add I can remember what I've seen 2 minutes earlier ffs.
