Event Coverage Speed Week Bonneville dates???

Are the dates final?- August Sat 14 with Friday the 20th being the last day? I thought they raced Sat. 21st also? What time of the week is the best to go, the first half or second half?

This will be the first time ALSO, any tips to make it a good one?

first half....and, yes, those dates better be good or a lot of us made the wrong reservations...

 

download all your memories in your brain onto a hard disc, because all the imagery you take in that week will push everything else out...

Some guy is giving away hopdogs at the bend, 5 pm Tuesday the 17th...

 

First half more racers there. We start to get weeded out by Tuesday and Wednesday, but still plenty going on. Probably too late for rooms, there are always cancellations the week of and in the second half anyway. There just aren't enough rooms anymore. Camp at the bend.

too late for rooms, but may not be too late to hire an RV from SLC and drive that across... get a few of you together and whoever draws the short straw gets to drive the RV while the rest can still take their cool cars

we (and most of the people we know who are going) are getting there on the 13th, and a lot of us have already made commitments to leave sometime on the tuesday (just running out of time to do all the things we want to do) - if we're having a great timeand decide to stay another night or 2, we should be able to find something cheaper than 200+ a night at the garter by then too...
