I was changing out my speedo cable and my 3 yr old got ahold of the bolt that attaches the speedo cable to the fordomatic ******. I have yet to locate it. Does anyone know what the bolt size is?

No I don't think he swallowed it. He has a thing for hiding things. Thanks for the info Jeff if I don't find it I will give that a try.

So Murphy was smiling on me yesterday. I swung by and picked up the bolt Jeff suggested. As I was working on the car to get everything back together my son walks up and hands me the original bolt. O well it only cost me 18 cents with a washer.

As an FYI the bolt is SAE 1/4" X 3/4", pretty much dead on Jeff you are the guru of 54 Fords.

    I am not worthy!
