1952-59 Ford Speedo cable for AOD in 56 Monterey

Hi guys, I'm looking to replace the worn and leakey speedometer cable in my '56 Merc Monterey Wagon. There are several outlets advertising cables for 55-56 Fords running AOD's . Will my Merc take one of these cables?

 

Rusty @e1956v at Speedometer Service in Colorado Springs made the cable for the AOD in my '54 Ranch Wagon. Good service, fair price, and fast turn around. Plus he is an Alliance Vendor. Win win all the way around. IMO

WhenI put an AOD in my 53F100 with the stock speedo I used a generic Ford cable that I bought at a swap meet, worked fine.
