1952-59 Ford Speedo cable gear question

I put an 85 AOD in my 53. I want to use my original Speedo. It looks like the housing that goes into the Transmission will fit but the teeth on the gear are angled the wrong way. I have 3.78 gears in the rearend. does anyone know what speedo gear or cable I should use? Or any of you who have done this, what did you do?

Will that same cable and gear work on my car?

 

Several others have done this already and no problem,unless it's not your day.
