Technical Speedometer issues

The speedometer in my 49 chevy truck isnt working (and hasnt since I started driving it a month ago) The odometer works accurately, but the speedometer doesnt even jump. The cable is new, the transmission is a th400. Where should I look next?

 

The speed cup is broken it will have to come out and be repaired.

The speedo probably needs repair. We use Speedometer Service Co. for speedo cables and speedo repairs
