    Thank you

  2. Something I've learned is when using speedway read the entire listing. I always have but really noticed it when I bought my gas tank. Everywhere I heard that the fitting for the tank was unknown and shame on them for not clarifying. Meanwhile when reading the listing I found no less than three sections where they say what fitting to use. Considering the through bolt steps down to the threads common sense dictates you tighten till the shoulder is seated Screenshot_20240222-134512.png

Yah I read those, says tighten until is “starts” smashing the rubber. Haha.

Instructions also show washers that arent included (between bolt head and lower rubber and between upper nut and engine mount). Anytime you add or subtract a washer it will change the preload until shoulder bottoms out. Ill use common sense was just curious.

  5. Honestly when I did mine I didn't read the bushing instructions. ... don't even know if mine had any lol. Just read the ones for the frame brackets. Mount bracket was obvious enough but I think I read those too lol

I’ve used that “style” kit before on Tri-Fives. But I purchased the real deal from Chassis Engineering.

  7. Unless there has been changes, the rubber used in Speedway's early Ford style biscuit mounts collapse and split under just the weight of the motor after a bit. CE mounts used to be the way to go, Drake's are supposed to be ok now-a-days; but I haven't had first hand experience.

  8. On my 53 with the front mount turned around. No splits. While this 350 has only been in about a year these bushings have been under load about two years because I had my mockup 283 on them IMG_2024-02-22-16-56-18-093.jpg IMG_2024-02-22-16-56-00-333.jpg 17086427922728823517526881799086.jpg

Awesome, thank you! I ended up mounting engine last night with mount reversed like yours and only drilled frame bracket big enough for bolt to do the locating of the engine, gave me a much better engine location and cleaner look with reversed mount. Now on to the rest of the open driveline conversion
