I will join and just start ordering their stuff from KIKKIN or another alliance vendor (did not know they sold some Speedway things)
Forgive me if I read this wrong, but didn't she already pay for it? Shipping should be free for the second item if it was on back order anyways. Shipping is only part of the cost, you gotta pay a person to stuff it in a box, label it bla bla bla... by the time you add in your costs, the handling is usally more than the shipping on lighter weight items.
Yeah I order from speedway alot as well. Awesome customer service I had a driveshaft ordered from there catalog had it in the car a week. Took it for a shakedown run and got a call the next day asking if I had driven the car well I said only a test drive they asked if I could pull the shaft out and send it back because they had found that companys welding defective. The next day alot beefier drive shaft was waiting for me at home with instuctions to send the old one back free of charge.Hopefully they jump on the alliance thing as should I.
The last survey I filled out I requested that the become an alliance member.. even included the link to the jalopy journal. Good to know that they are actually reading the surveys.. Brian
I buy quite a few things from Speedy Bill, but since they're primarily race pars rather hot rod parts, I have never gotten that survey. I'll phone in the next order and ask flatout for them to be come a HAMB Alliance Vendor. Perhaps I can get Bill on the phone. I'll join the very day that they do. "Speedy" runs the greatest speed shop on the planet!.. Jan Jan
Great source for parts but their online shipping calculator can overcharge. This happened to me yesterday. If the charges look high, call customer service and question it. I did and they admitted it was wrong and corrected it. I'm not complaining, just want to make everyone aware of it. Will order more parts by phone.
My thoughts exactly, at this moment Speedway Motors is pretty much the only vendor I´m using of all overseas speed shops...
I had a big order last week, and asked Bob in Tech about them becoming Alliance Members. He said quite a few guys there are on the HAMB, or lurk at least. Hopefully we'll get them on board. I've never had any issues with them, and three days later the Big Brown Truck usually shows up with the booty. I'm still waiting to get Newstalgia on board as well.
Don't want to be self servering here, but several of us are Speedway distributors - SideValve and Hotrod28a for starters. Generally beat Speedways catalog pricing.
