I have a Speedway drop axle under my 66' Cuda drag car project. I finally thought I was ready to take it out and test it and found the front shackles resting on the frame. The car when let down off the jack settles 1-5/8" and the shackles sit @ around 45 degrees. I can then press it down until the shackles hit which is another 1-1/2" but it does not spring up. I can pull it up and the car will stay back in the spot it settled when let off the jack. It has been together since last fall. I tested when it was first put together and I couldn't get it close to bottoming by bouncing it and it always came back up. I'm guessing these Speedway leafs just went bad sitting. Any suggestions on a better option? Thanks
