Technical Speedway T-5 to flathead adapter question

Can anyone tell/show me how to attach the clutch release bearing spring to the Speedway T-5 to flathead adapter? Pictures would be very helpful. I'm using a '48 FH and '89 Chev. S-10 T-5.

I drilled a hole in a stainless steel clamps and put it behind the top bolt then looped my spring through it. Hope this helps.
