Even as El Nino bears down on the West, and The Bonneville Salt Flats are underwater, it is time to start planning for SpeedWeek 2016. Sorry, but I am one of the Believers of the Return of the Salt. And as such, today is the day to call Lucy at the Wendover KOA for the best deal, aside from the Cheep Seats at the Bend and Museum Site, for a place to stay for SpeedWeek. I will not listen to "The Sky is Falling". And this is not because I have a vested interest in SpeedWeek with my calendar. I am also a racer and I have yet to drive our own vehicle on the hallowed surface. Yes I have driven on the Salt and it was amazing, but it was a wonderful group of friends and I want to do it on my terms. So, yes we will return to the Salt in 2016!

Watch out at the KOA in Wendover. I came back from the salt, only to find my campsite and tent ransacked. They went through everything.
