Spent a great 3 days on the salt.......rough courses, wind, spin outs, delays. Still all good! Most of my pics are from the starting lines, sorry if some are poor quality. Anyone else feel free to post your pics here as well
Thank you. I was hoping to be there this year, but plans fell through. Your pics help. Maybe I'll make it next year.
Laura posted pic of them washing the truck and trailer to remove salt so I think they are on the way home. If the Ardun is the one Ron once showed me, there is a great story behind it. Ron was at Nats in York, PA and someone told him there was a "ford hemi" for sale in the local Syracuse NY Pennysaver. When Ron checked on it, it was a race motor, probably circle track from Oswego Speedway, had the Clark and Tebow rocker mods, etc. Talk about fate, eh? Guy finds an Ardun in a throwaway cl***ified paper and years later it yields a 200 Club cap for not only him but his son too. Hollywood ending!
and don't forget the Rolls Royce on the salt towing a 1952? Ford pickup to the starting line. why be ordinary?
