I just bought some. They look pretty nice to me but they are the only ones I have ever seen up close so I cant compare them to anything else. They look to be pretty good quality in my opinion.
For the Price difference I think I'll try them. Do they have A sticker that says were ther made... I just TRY to stay away from anything made..... China
I've got a set of them on my "A". Only problems I had was with the mounting brackets that fit on the wheels. They are going to fix that problem. I sent them an original set of brackets to copy. I paid $149 @ speedway. Mooneyes are double the price........... S****s
I bought Speedways as well. Can't remember the price but $150 sounds about right. I haven't mounted them yet though. I think they are Chinese of origin.
they are both chinese and they are both mothers to mount to those chinzie backing plates. good luck, rural a little determination will "git er dun"
Does Moon make anything that doesn't come from China? My $240 crossbars scream China all over the box.
My friend had some Original Cal Customs, Moons Repops, and a set from Speedway...pretty much all the same in appearance. Dunno about mounting or actual quality. I got a flyer in the mail a few months back from Speedway, $139.99/set. Not bad. I thought about doing this.... If someone made them in injection molded plastic, and chromed them....you know, 1 piece design. Just run a few self tapping screws through the flange part. **** yeah. Who cares if it's not traditional, or not PERFECT...it'd be cheap! And that's what I'm all about...
