Spindle/Axle Boss clearance

    Just put the front end together on my T tonight. It has '49-'54 Chevy spindles and a tube axle. I had .006" to .008" clearance between the spindles and axle boss, checking with feeler guages, after the assembly was together. What do specs call for? Thanks in advance.

    sounds good to me,i just did the kingpins on my '54 olds,had about the same clearance as you,works fine for me-george [​IMG]

    Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear. Really wasn't looking forward to taking it back apart to try to shim it, but if I had to......
