So, I've got what looks like 42-48 ford spindles, redoing the brakes, had a hell of a time getting the inside bearing off, literally had to pull it off with a puller. Measured the spindle diameter, it measures 1.250 at the large bearing seat, it should measure 1.190, brakes look like 40 ford, got any idea what I got here? All I can find online is kingpin sizes, but not spindle diameter. The spindles appear in every way to look like 42-48 ford, complete with steering arms attached. Don't ask me to post pics, I got no idea.

more than likely, it is an F-1 spindle. they look similar to the 1942-48 spindle, but take different bearings.
Thanks, the spindle LOOKS exactly like a 42-48, in every way, square bolt pattern on the back, only difference I can find from a stock car spindle is the spindle diameter, this one being larger by several thousandths. Steering arms are the same as 42-48 spindles, square bolt pattern on the spindle back for the backing plate is perfect match for 40 ford backing plates. Was hoping someone here would know the difference.
F-1 spindle is 1-5/16" dia where the inner bearing goes; but don't think there is any way to to put '40 Lockheed brakes on them. What was the number on the old bearing?
