I have a pair of '35 Ford spindles I would like to use. What differences are there between them and say, '39-40 Ford spindles? r
Do a search on th HAMB, there are a bunch of posts that relate to Ford spindles. The 35 spindles are vastly different from the later spindles in backing plate bolt spacing and spindle snout length.
I know the backing plate flange is different. There might be a difference in the bearings as well, but I'm not sure
Thye're not bad spindles, but you need to know the details. I covered most of it in my post at: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122603
