This may be the most noob question ever, but it's been a year since i had time to look at these parts.
I have a model a, with a '36 front axle. I bought a nice pair of round-back spindles, re-bushed and reamed to size.
Today, i realized there is about 3/8" difference between the journals, compared to the model A and '36 spindles.
Do i make spacers, or are these spindles not what i thought?
2 7/8" between the upper and lower king pin journal.
I can post photos in the am

On Model A through ‘36 spindles the thrust bearing goes on the top of the spindle, the stock style king pins have a cup on top for the mechanical brake system and being a forging it will support the bearing and front weight of the car. ‘37-‘48 Ford king pins have a wider span and the thrust bearing goes under the axle.

    Thanks.
I completely forgot about the bearing placement.
    I need a nap.
