I'm running a 37 Packard trans in my coupe, and it has no slip yolk on the output shaft of the gearbox, so I need to run a split driveshaft, with the slip yolk in the second shaft. The rear suspension is a model A spring on 36 bones, which are joined at the front wth the pivot from a 37 Front wishbone.

My question is, from where do you take the pivot angle for the suspension, as I believe that the pivot angle of the driveshaft determines the length of the wishbones.

Is it at the first universal (next to the gearbox) or where the second driveshaft pvots rearward of the centre support bearing?

    Thanks in advance.

2nd. Think of the front half as the Trans tailshaft where the suspension is concerned.

I guess that I'll have a real short front shaft in that case.

    Thnx

you could do a one piece if you use one of those driveshafts with a slip portion on them... Like some 4x4 fronts, etc.... Then you wouldn't have to wory about where your pivots are....
