Split wishbones, does size matter?

Found these at the Pomona Swap some time ago for $10. I am now getting closer to using them and wonderig if they are to short.

They will be going on a full fendered '32 truck. They are not Model A, but a cut down post '34 wishbone.

I don't think they are too short. Speedway sells hairpins 27,32,and 36" long. I'm going to extend mine to about 48".
