Splitting a 216 while keeping stock heat riser?

I did my first set of splits on a '48 Fleetline Aerosedan I bought from my wife's Grandmother in 1963. Got a second manifold from the junkyard for a buck or two for the second flange. Tools: hacksaw, bench grinder, oxygen/acetylene torch and a few sticks of braze. Held up very well.

I did the original manifold on my 37 Chevy Pickup and used it with an early Edelbrock intake, adapted to the 235 I'm running in my truck.

I recently split a 235 manifold that I picked up at a yard sale. The manifold was in real nice shape. The split turned out great. You can see it on my blog.
