Hey all, haven’t been on the board in a long time. Please forgive me. I have a wire wheel question. I picked up a pair of 16” ‘Ford’ spoked wheels today. I’ve never seen them like these. The top spokes are straight and the bottom spokes are bent. Does anyone have an idea what these might be? Thanks for looking. -stick
As @redo32 says, home made. They look good though. The old tires look to be worn evenly so i guess well made wheels.
Fairly common. Every time I find one I give it to a friend of mine. He runs them on a pretty much stock Model A pickup. '28-'29 are the most common but once in a while I see '30-'31 wheels done that way. Those were done back when 16" tires were the most common available tire. Dave
