I caught an interesting show on History channel yesterday about chrome plating. Went into the history with the car. One guy had an amazing collection of hood ornaments and motor meters. They went through the current process of chroming plastic grills and trim. They etch the plastic with a acid bath and apply a coat that will attract nickel plate. The etch gives the nickel a surface to hold on.

Spectra Chrome is the biggest waste of money. I've used it for 6mo. and can not sell anything. We have great looking parts but 3mo. goes by and they all turned yellow. Not only am I out time and materials I also have to refund money and buy new parts for the customers. Dan is one of the biggest liers I've ever met. Full of broken prommises and BS. I will be at the next SEMA show just to say hi to him and show the box of flaking, peeling, discolored parts to anyone interested
