Recently rebuilt the front sway bar ends on my 54 Customline as well as replaced the shackles and bushings on the rear. What an improvement! The rear parts were in decent shape for 60 years. Can't wait to rebuild the front with Aerostar springs.

I'm in the middle of doing the whole front end on my '59. Whatever can be replaced will be replaced. Everything on the rear looks pretty good. Once I get it up and running I'll see how it behaves. I have the aerostar springs too, new shorter shocks. It should handle pretty well with the 15" radials.

I think the radials are a good idea, I have firestone bias belts(are they the same as cross plies?) and the handling is a little interesting!!!

Radials on these old cars, like night and day. I got some Hankook 724s from Tire Rack.

I got the Monroe Sensa-Trac 5821 shocks from Amazon, $19.16 each. Not a bad deal.
