    Kool thanks.

I seen a guy in the back corner by the toll road that had a pair of clipper taillights for $100 a piece. Last year he had the same set for $400.

You got that Mill for $175? I tried to buy the valve covers from that guy.

So did my cousin. Like I said, I'm glad that I had my nephew's hauling service there. There was also a '57 283 further up the hill with the correct power pack heads, but a 2 bbl intake (?), asking price $300.00. It turned freely, and appeared to also be negotiable. Good rod material.

I vended Wed-Thurs and sold off most of my stuff but this was the first time I ever vended in the infield (after over 20 years of trying to get a spot there). I was also able to buy a few things i needed for the projects when I had the chance to get away. All-in-all, my best Spring Carlisle ever. I had to leave on Thurs eve but my buds told me the place was packed all day on Friday and both of them nearly sold out.

It was a lot busier than Fall Carlisle (at least for me it was) .....

Despite the economy, does anyone feel that Spring C is a sellers market (new projects, desire, everyone and thing coming out of mothballs and stuff from storage)whereas Fall C is a buyers market (people selling off the bulk before winter, heating bills,Christmas and school bills coming)?
    Just a BS theory,but,it's all i got...

Not for me, anyway. I bought a load of stuff, and I only buy when it's underpriced.

I think it's just the opposite-spring we want to get on the road, buying what I need to do that. Fall is not wanting to trip over stuff all winter but buying up stuff/projects to keep me occupied when I am not driving the car.

Best memory, 4 guys trying to carry a small block chevy down an isle.
Got there wednesday in a motorhome with a couple of guys i grew up with. Thursday was packed, fri. At 730, gate 7 had a line 100 people deep to pay to enter. The best deals were in the dollar piles or in the ghetto. Nothing left for 32 fords by thursday am. No problem with the economy for car guys, saw 20 cars sell in the coral, thursday before breakfast. Had a great time, but next year taking a golf cart. Never say, i'll give you, but say will you take as you look at the wives sitting in the back. The one's i saw all had smiles.

Nothing I hate MORE than a ton of golf carts at Carlisle. Most have no respect for the pedestrian and it's a real PIA to keep dodging and looking out for carts who are all over the aisles when you're trying to look at an item. If you're disabled or ill, I have no problem. But, if you're just too damn lazy to get in shape ahead of time to walk the hills, stay off the carts. An I'm 60 and fat-walked to whole thing Thursday and some of it twice.

  10. Went up Thursday with my newly acquired 49 Chevy coupe on the trailer, found some vintage stuff from Frank at the Moon Equip. dealer. Good people, also found the two 57 correct wheels on a good tip from Rock that I needed. Covered the grounds at a quick pace and keen eye but no luck on a 409 timing cover, any leads guys? Spotted an eye grabbing 52 chevy restored business coupe all black in lower car corral for serious money but worth it. That made my day, left with intentions of going back up but spent time catching up with spring at home. Went back up Monday morning for the trailer and car, glad nobody decided to borrow anything of it, however somebody left a chrome lever on my trailer front that I can't Identify, looks like a good score and am sure they are dissapointed they left it, if it is yours pm me and we can return it, that would make my day! Another Spring Carlisle gone by and another year older, here comes GM, Truck, Corvette, and Fall events creeping right up!

I agree that the golf carts that are piloted by people whose only hadicap is extreme laziness are annoying, but the ones I'd really like to slap are the *****s that cruise up and down the rows in one ton crew cab dualies, peering out the window at the parts. It's 80 degrees and sunny, for Christ's sake......GET OFF YOUR LAZY *** AND WALK!!!!
