Hot Rods spring center bolt measurement

    Hi guys ,,replacing the stock springs in the 52 BC . where do I get the shop to punch the center bolt hole to put the axle in proper place. I have heard 2'' , 2 1/2 '' I have a 350/ 4 speed trans now thanks jim
     
  2. I'm not sure I understand the question. Wouldn't you just put the center hole in the spring where the stock one is and make any forward/back adjustments by where you locate the hole on the spring pad? What does your engine and trans combo have to do with centering the rear end in the wheel well? Maybe that's throwing me off or maybe it's a BC thing. Hmm...what's a BC anyway? Sorry, not trying to be a smart ass, I'm just wondering if I'm totally misunderstanding the question or maybe my brain is just fried from thinking all day.
