I have all the Garage Magazines...except that one...just saying...if it needs a good home I’ll take great care of it...sure wish it was around still..
I sold my first ten or so on eBay for like $300 each years ago. I don’t think they are bringing that kind of money now though.
I think that's the only issue I have of Garage...might have another two or three but I know I have that one.
Yep....just did it....I’ll PM ya my address...pretty cool I got a little pop up with a head up on some new stuff...
I was only involved with issue #1... and even then, I just did the logo and some spreads. I dug the magazine and think Stoner is a genius... However, at some point Jesse decided to do a cover with Carmen Electra standing in front of the Pierson Coupe. I like Carmen as much as the next guy... but in my opinion, no one puts the Pierson Coupe in the background. I was out emotionally after that. Book in bound.
vs a couple of keepers... Hello, Having had a zillion spring cleanings of huge stuff and left-overs from hot rod/drag race days biting the dust, we are now down to minimal containers. My wife’s thing is when we are gone and our son/granddaughter have to clean up those two small attic areas, then they can decide what to throw away or give away. Memories are just as important for us now, so, we do not want stuff we can remember in photos or journals. For now, our spring cleaning is over, since we are down to the minimal items. Digital files are simple, but the bulky things have gone by the wayside over the years. If there are some things still in containers, there are family members that are still into collection old, classic things. There is a minimalist feel to our houses over the time we have been together. We were not into over decorating or having stuff laying around. “Neat freaks” might have been a better name. The time your electronic interruption happened, that is a good starting point for getting things organized and also, getting rid of a lot of stuff you haven’t used or seen in ages. Your organization starts with cleaning up and getting rid of stuff, not moving it over to the next room for storage. Once that main room gets organized, then move to those boxes and stored stuff. Unless of course, you have a 50 room house/office building and can store that conglomeration of cool old stuff forever. But, then, it starts all over again. Jnaki Our 50s-60s-70s physical memorabilia has been toned down to digital files. In an emergency, we are not grabbing 25 photo albums and physical things other than each other. The only other two “things” would be the dog and if our granddaughter is with us, definitely getting her to safety. Thinking about those “emergency” situations shed light on what is important to keep and what is important to take away. It makes things simple. old, original design VS. business designs Your classic longboard in the photo is rather nice. The late 60s skateboards having their time and then being sent to skateboard heaven, has given way to creating things for our son. From a 1965 design to a new idea for a small business fell into place. But, over time, spring cleaning took over and now, only a few are left including the two original design builds. HOT ROD FLAMES Mommy/Daddy version, with tall handles...no more bent over backs for fun scooting.
Hahaha, so you’re also a victim of project creep... Greg Guise does incredible work. I had him do a memorial granite stone for my brother-in-law. r Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Ryan, I like the slip cases/binders that have the clear plastic pouch on the spine where you have them dated. I need to orginize my collection of magazines, could you tell me where you found them? HRP
I have been spring cleaning as well, I have yet to start on the hot rod stuff. Just going thru all my bicycle stuff sorting and selling Sent from my SM-J337V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
