Hot Rods spring perch nuts?

Do I need a tapered nut or washer on the bottom of my spring perch? The perches I bought from Socal just came with lock nuts that are flat. Seems like I need a tapered washer but i don't see them for sale.

Running a dropped real model A axle and 37 bones (mounted over axle, stock spring arm cut off), with a posies spring.

Where can I find tapered washers or nuts to use?

I did a search but don't see any where that mentions where to buy these. thanks

Typical lower shock mounts have the taper you're looking for.

 

I haven't checked, but I think you may find a 5/8" acorn lug nut will work. Check the angle of the seat.

Cool, thanks. Ya, I got the front end mounted, just need spindles and tires to get it rolling. Got a rearend rebuilt for it also. I don't have the cash to build it entirely as I wish I could, but I am aiming for safe and well built. Hows your mod coming?

 

I'm actually getting back to work on it after almost a year off! My girlfriend decided to drag home what seems like half of Ford's 1962 production of Falcons for me to****emble for her... Guess where my free time has been spent?!?!
