Hot Rods Spring perches

    I need to put front shocks on my 32 pickup would like some info on the ones that bolt on the bottom of the spring perch bolts some have a key way but who has the right spring perch bolt

    First you’ll need to get your terminology correct. A spindle bolt is another name for a kingpin, and has nothing to do with the spring or shocks.

    Some aftermarket vendors sell perches with an extra long threaded portion to let you attach those lower shock mounts. And, some even sell a set with the keyways to keep the shock from rotating. I think it’s a great idea. Ask your supplier if they have that kind. Also ask if they are forged or cast, as obviously forged is better.
