1952-59 Ford squeal on start-up

    I am not sure if this is the place to post this or not, but there are so much great information available here, I thought I'd try.
    Upon start up, I get a loud squeal that lasts about 15-30 seconds and goes away after that, never to return until the next cold start-up.
    This is not a fan belt squeal. I am wondering if it could be the power steering pump. Perhaps someone else has had this experience.
    Thanks in advance for any ideas or ways to verify what it may be.

    You need to stick your head under the hood (carefully) while someone starts the car and see if you pin point it or at least narrow it down.

    Remove the drive belts one at a time to see if the noise disappears.

    40 coupe has the right idea probably alternator (if running one)try belt dressing if it is

    I hear a loud squeal everytime I start my car, too.
    Turns out it's ME.
    Such is love. LOL
