Watched a very cool video of him hammering on the car at a drag strip as part of a reliability run…no traction, sounded awesome!

  6. Have run the “hot rod of the year” many times in the rain and sun and it’s the best event and funniest you can do. Congrats to the top 5 and the winner. See ya next with a new car

Agreed. The reliability run was the most fun I’ve ever had at a car show in the US probably… ever. The friends made will long at last the trophy.,

Thank you. my head is still spinning. Hopefully I can make a post in the next couple weeks about the event and answer some questions about the car. It’s not for everyone… and I’m cool with that.

it is another of your killer creations. Like VanGo , it will be everywhere to be viewed

  11. Congratulations!
    1) Please tell us what it's like to drive out on the streets (beyond the show car environment).
    2) How about some photos of the finished interior? RJ showed it in bare metal but lots been done since then. Most photographers focus (!) on the wild exterior.
    Thanks.

I was an immediate fan of this car years ago when the car was not yet built and the stripe paint scheme was just talk. I was thrilled to see @Church not waver from that vision. Congratulations Coby.

    Congratulations indeed! @Church
That car is kick ass from every angle!
And you are correct, "its not for everybody"
But that is exactly why it won and that is exactly why I totally dig that car!

Because that coupe won, it definitely put a smile on Mr. Painted Mexican skull grilles face!
    Congratulations from Dennis.

  16. A 34 Ford in good taste from the mid 50's Vs today, tastes have certainly changed.

Do you like broccoli? I don’t. Having different tastes doesn’t need to be a negative. That car you posted is badass … but I kinda like mine too.

Feel obligated to toss in my 2 cents worth. Saw the car at GNRS. Love the body & interior, prefer paint to more follow body lines but to each their own. If exhaust real not streetable anywhere I now of. Like EFI system but question fuel pressure based off cam & thus rpm - do not believe EFI would like that, unless that pump is fake or? Also need more detail on cooling system I guess from back of block. I always that the details.

That car is hard-core big balls badass style. It's a shot of nasty tequila with no lemon or salt, it's a 1st sip of coffee that's too hot but still perfect, it's a nod of approval that needs no words, you just know. I love it. The interior wears me right the fuck out, yes it's that good, kool, badass, and every other superlative you can muster. Personally I was rooting for the Swillco roadster because it too fucks me up in all the best ways possible. But this? Oh yeah, well done. I guess my wordless nod of approval is in good company.

Been great seeing all the video of Bill driving the car all over the place and frying the tires. There are photos of what everyone’s asking to see all over the place but here are a few I snagged from fuel curve/ good guys Instagram. I’m super excited to see this in Oklahoma!

  25. Showing different tastes thru time is not negative, just shows the difference between then and now.

The drone view from the top is just killer! I like how the midline stripe includes a painted square for the top insert. I also absolutely love the Moon tank being behind the grille. What a subtle, but unique touch. The injection stacks being level to the ground against the aggressive rake is just icing on the cake. Every detail is well thought out and executed to a high level.
