I'm building a 37 Nash coupe (custom rod) and will be putting air conditioning and heat into it. I have access to all kinds of stainless steel tubing (cheap) to make the lines. From these hard lines I'll have flexable lines to the engine. Plus it'll look cool.
I need to know if stainless line will eventually fail/crack from vibration? Or will it work just fine? I hate to spend a bunch of time and money then replace it in a number of years.
    Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

It should work fine, as long as it is well supported. The only issue might be how you are going to put O-ring compatible fittings on the ends. Pretty sure Vintage AIr sells them, but they are pricey!

I used stainless on my AC lines (AC in trunk) and all fuel lines and installed 10 years ago and to date no cracks or failures of any kind. Proper brackets to secure the lines is necessary and I see no issues at all.
