I feel like there was a book about repairing stainless trim, hubcaps, etc, talked about here on the board a lot of years ago. Am I losing it, or do you know of the book? Probably something way out of print. Also Id like to source a decent stainless repair tool assortment. I know a lot of you guys just build your own, but I was wondering if you know of anyone that offers "kit" with assorted picks, hammers, and small dollies. Thanks!
Okay here is a book that should help you. Motor books workshop . "How to restore metal auto trim ".I believe mine came from Barnes and Noble book store . WWW.motorbooks.com . Has techniques for restoring chrome, aluminum, die-cast etc.
Hey, I'm a Jeweler and have repaired a lot of stainless for myself and others over the years, I learn how from my uncle who was a jeweler/watchmaker , people brought there trim to us because we had the skill and small tools to repair their trim, this was before repop stuff, but still do headlight buckets, trim or what ever someone needs.
