stall converter

  1. My knowledge is limited, but the 2.80 gears suck! Steeper gears will definitely help, higher freeway RPM non-withstanding.

you will need a 2500 rpm stall on that light vehicle.

As weight goes down , stall rating must go up.... even with a bone stock motor. that way your leg will not be sore from holding the brakes against the motor trying to move the car.

If you change your rear gears it will awakin your engines exceleration greatly. But your engine speed will increase cruizing down the road. I have 3.73's with a turbo 350 and a tci 2000 stall converter and im reving about 3000 rpms at 55 on highway. Changing you converter does nothing except raise you exceleration point before the car moves. Your torque and wait of vehicle plays a big roll. Mine is a 2000 stall but actually locks up around 1800.
