Technical Standard IGN SW US1340

I have a problem hope someone can help, Standard gives me no help, the switch has no acc only on and start and I will not be using the start as the car has a cable pull, yet it has 6 wires Red,Black, Black/Yel stripe, Yel/Blk/Yel Stripe, Yel/Red Stripe and Purple. when I connect my meter to the red wire and purple wire I make a connection, continuing on with the meter the other wires are dead and the only way I can make any of the other wires live is to connect the purple wire to the black wire and I know I have confused everyone. I have tried to call Standard but the dept I need is closed for the Christmas Holiday. The only reason I bought this switch is it's size as it has a small circumference. I had thought about using a toggle switch but I would like something a bit more secure.

No diagrams come up. It does appear to be a oe replacement. But what vehicle is it? I’d be looking into a universal switch over that one.

Yup that is the one, it is a marine switch and will not work so I returned it to Oreillys and used the regular type of switch which was a challange. Thank all of you good people for the help.
