I miss the days when we could walk around during set up and enjoy the cars and folks. I hate the circus atmosphere that exists while the doors are open and wish that we could have a show like Wichita and KC. I might put one of mine in again.

 

Thanks for the pics! I haven't been to a Starbird show since they quit having them in OKC. Maybe I could work out making it up this weekend.

 

I'm going to try to be there Saturday as well. But don't know for sure (as usual). It's been years since I went and I need a Tulsa Starbird Show fix.

I remember way back going to shows at the National Guard Armory on 15th St, across the fairgrounds from the International Petroleum Exposition building .

 

Mr moriarity if your there all weekend I would like to meet you. Got the roadster there thats in my avitar.

 

Ted owns one kool T Bucket. I had a blast terrorizing Dewey in it a couple of years ago.

I saw that car at Russ Freund's River City shop in August of last year when we were in Spokane...Russ would not let us take pix of it in its primer but really thot it was kool...love the Torino top...

I have to say, I really enjoy that Els Camino's milky-headlight treatment. It has that late fifties/early sixties futuristic look. The roof is something else too! A lot of work and attention to detail.
