Well you are from AZ. Around here, "floors and rockers" qualifies as "pretty solid". Really.

ive not been getting many hours at work lately, so ive been hitting the 55 plymouth g***er project again. got the floors finished and took the body off the frame, figuring out a straight axle to use now and will be starting on the frame. the one pic is a sneak peek at what im using for a steering wheel and seats.

Finally after a too long winter, I got out and started working on the '55 again today. I decided to radius the rear wheel wells. Not wanting to do a cheapo rebar and bondo job, I took a trip to a old local salvage yard, I picked up some early 50's pontiac front fenders and cut out the radius of the wheel well i needed. got the drivers side almost done today. came out great and will only need a skim coat of filler. Ill post more as i get it done. Thanks for the support guys and girls

Thats awesome, I dig all the 40's-50's Mopars. I'm working on a mopar project now too, a '49. I'm trying to talk myself out of going g***er with it but it's just so tempting. It's either that or fix the half finished sub frame job from a previous owner, I hate sub frames but it's what I have to work with.

Had a 55 "Moredoor" I bought when I was in the USMC. The rear door handles had been shaved along with a nose and deck job. Had a nose down rake on it, painted solid white. Looked pretty cool. 273 V8 with 3speed w/OD. Had a crazy home brew floorshift rigged up with a starter solenoid to activate reverse. Got pulled over in Cherryhill, NC by the local constable in his hopped up 54 Ford. He swore up and down that my car was a "shine runner" This was in the early 60s.

Eli, you and I seem to be following some of the same threads. Love those g***ers.

Nice work on the floors and rockers. I'm also liking the rear wheel openings.

This is a great build. Not to thread jack but where do you Mopar guys find the front parking light/turn signals for these 55-56 Plymouths?

I am loving the look!!! Keep those update pic's coming!!! a 354" or a 392" 2-4's 727 or 518 or a 4 or 5 speed stick, pump gas friendly! of course 440" s are cheeper, maybe a cross ram 2-4's will make it motivate, I will be looking for updates. Good Luck

Love the rear wheelwells! They look almost factory with the Pontiac openings modified! Much better than a raw radius unfinished!
Glad to see you're still on this build!
