   How do I tell if the starters I have for my 292 are 6v or 12v?

   If you are using a 12v battery either one will work just fine . 6v starters really love the 12v . I used a 6v starter with a 12v battery for about 5 years and never had a problem .
   I have no idea how to tell the difference between them except when they are marked what voltage they are .
