    Hello guys,

I used to go to Beach Electric in Huntington Beach, but they aren't around anymore. I have a 49/50 Olds with Bendix (On my Chrysler, of all things) so I'm looking for a shop that has experiance with vintage starters.

Anyone have any good suggestions for old-time starter re-builders in SoCal or even beyond?

    THANKS!

    Josh

I've used these guys - they actually repair alternators & starters, not just sell you a rebuild. They're in Yucaipa so not too far from you.

What's wrong with the starter? Most times, replacing the bearings, brushes and the Bendix are all that's needed. You can buy the parts and install them yourself with basic hand tools.
