I'm trying to find a 12v replacement starter for the old 6v in my 1950 plymouth. Anyone done this or know of one that fits? The old starter motor works fine, but the drive gear went out and I cant find a replacement. I cant get too fancy with any modifications because I am on a budget my car is in the parking lot of my apartment complex.

...Plymouth flathead sixes were made up to about 1960 I think, don't know when they switched over to 12 volts, maybe some MOPAR guys will have that answer.
