It's come a long way. I love the Caddy mill. Looking forward to seeing it on the road.

nothing says hotrod like a cadillac! planning a 390 for mine.

  8. Are there any problems mounting a 32 grille on a 33 /34 frame? The cross member apears to set forward of where a 32 is located. I would like to use a 32 truck or car grille on my full fendered 34 pickup

wow...I'm the only one that thinks that dash just doesn't get it. Beautiful in the Merc, butt-ugly in that truck or any other early vehicle. IM(not so)HO

  11. Funny, a 3 year old thread coming back to life is magic on a website that focuses on 70+ year old hotrods :)

Well guys, sorry for the looong hiatus on this thread but I keep becoming the victim of self inflicted "Too many projects syndrome".
Anywho, to finally wrap this one up, I sent the truck over to some new found friends for some help. Junior, Clark, Myles and the crew have been doing a great job.
Recently fabbed up a set of headers and throttle linkage for the Caddy...

We decided that we would lose the red wheels and whitewalls in favor of Black on Black. I think a major improvement, just gonna add some mid 40's caps.

Just got some caps for it, unsure as to putting trim rings on it or these '40 accessory discs or both, or none at all...

I wanted something a little different than stock tail lights so the guys fabbed up this rear pan to house the '49 Ford tail lights and Hollywood plate light...

After the pan was done, we thought it needed to have the stake pockets extended to clean up the look, so paper templates were made...
