Just a guesse, but likely you will see a drop on the A page on Fordbarn in the not too distant future. Seems to be less real useful info there and more trinket collectors seem to be showing up lately. Rod
I bumped an old hardcase thread up earlier, and it dissapeared, so I guess it got deleted. So, as it was I think, about 8 pages, I've done my bit by gaining more bandwidth. Spose I should join Alliance this year as well.
Blue One is correct. Sites such as this can't operate without money. I'm new here, but I've enjoyed the few months I've spent reading the threads and learning a lot. So I just bought an Alliance membership. Looks like I'll be sticking around for a while.
Thanks Ryan for another huge contribution by providing new/additional hardware. I have no idea how you guys can fund all this (hardware, software, maintenance, ...) and usage is still for free. Anyway I just renewed my Alliance membership and hope this contributes at least a little bit. Huge traffic on a web site is the down side if you are doing a very excellent job. Bad sites don't know this problem
Here in france its really really slow. But it does come through the atlantic ocean so what with dodging ships, subramines, fish ,wales and plankton it does get slowed up anyway. And the string between the cans does get wet i supose
So, Larry you or Danny might know this, but is this normal, to have nearly 2/3 of the board traffic be Guests? I don't know, that surprises me.
On the number of guests...if you google a technical issue that is on topic for the HAMB, you will likely get a bunch of HAMB hits at or near the top of the result list. Likewise with image searching. In many cases, it will turn out that the only coherent information on obscure interchange and repair topics is here. I would wonder if many of the guests eventually sign up...
I was a late bloomer as to getting a computer and internet. As soon as I visited the HAMB I knew this was the place for me. Many other places are for gold chainers or idiots who think the only fix is new parts,
In the IT industry, the ONLY fix is new parts. Remember, Ryan, like a few others here, has to keep feet in the IT world and the hot rod world. And yeah, I promised myself that if I did not get kicked off of the board by 10,000-posts that I would finally join. Almost there.
Very true, that's how i ended up here.I use google for a search on the HAMB because you get a better result than from the search function on the HAMB. If you get what I'm saying.
Just tried again a bit ago, and all is well! Best consistent speed I've ever had on HAMB, I believe, or at least remember, anyhow. And that's getting to be unpredictable at my old ass age.
Don't know about others, but unless I feel the need to say something, like now, I normally don't log in while at work. Typically just read when it's slow at the grindstone. -Dave
It is 2:45 EST snd this is the first time I could log on all day. Kept timing out on OS X MAC. Glad it is back up. Missed it
It works fine with my cellphone, but not at all with my laptop.WTF? Is there some IP's blocked or something?
I am having problems with pages going away and threads going away when I try to open them. Otherwise it quick again, Thank you Ryan for all your efforts! KK
