A prescient quote given recent events. So I was looking back at old JJ posts (and enjoying myself immensely) and found your State of the H.A.M.B. from Oct. 2006. It was a beautifully poetic ode to joy regarding the philosophical and existensial state of the HAMB, and it got me to looking for a more recent editorial take from you, on this subject, but all I can find is this current thread, which is not at all philosophical, but rather cold and technical (not that there's anything wrong with that). In the Oct. 2006 post you said: You guys have built something amazing. A community of relatively like minds that strive not only to build and record cool shit, but to share it with others openly and personally. I’ve always believed in this joint. There were times in the past where I didn’t take it as seriously as other times, but I’ve never felt that there was anything this community couldn’t achieve. I knew we would grow and knew there would be growing pains, but I never knew we would grow (and continue to grow) so gracefully. These are good times fellas… Reading 11 year old posts and threads, one really gets a sense of how the HAMB has changed. A lot of folks have disappeared, a ton of new folks have come on board, but leaving aside the technical changes, the bullseye has not moved. Anyway, I for one would love to hear a short philosophical pontification from you, Boss, on our current state. You have scattered bits and pieces here and there . . . and maybe I have simply missed a more recent opine. BTW here is the JJ post: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/?p=471
