This is the final version of my dynamic and static compression ratio calculator. While it makes very little difference I have provided for the void above the top piston ring between the piston and the cylinder wall.

    Features and Functions:

You can navigate the fields by using the Tab key or the Up & Down Arrow keys.

The head gasket can be entered by dimensions or by volume. The opposing field/s will lock so as to prevent double entry.

Values are considered to be positive with the exception of the two marked plus or minus.

Positive deck clearance is when the piston is below the block deck.
Negative deck clearance is when the piston is above the block deck.

A negative piston volume would be:
    1) flat top piston with valve reliefs
    2) dish top piston with or without valve reliefs
    3) pop up piston with dome displacement less than valve reliefs.

Note: Some piston manufacturers state the effective volume of their pistons. That volume does not include the a fore mentioned void.

The calculation can be performed by pressing the Enter key or by clicking on the Calculate ****on.

After leaving a field and returning to the field it will auto clear when you start entering a new value. The same is true after making a calculation.

The ZIP file consist of DCR Calculator.exe and Trigonometry.dll. Both files must be placed in the same folder.

Nice. Zeroed right in on my Hemi's 10.83 to 1 c/r that I measured with a burette/graduated cylinder.

    Ebbsspeed,

Thank you for the feedback. I developed the calculator for an engine that I was going to build for my Anglia. Unfortunately an old age health issue stop the project. Nice to know that it works and that it is accurate.
