When I'm drunk I can do just about anything stupid, yes. For my next trick I will try to sing Freebird on the kareoke machine.... to the tune of Enter Sandman... in my best Dennis DeYoung impression... (okay, now I'm scaring myself).


Seriously though. I can justify it like that all day long, but actually stealing stuff is like crossing a line that I can't even consider actually going out and pysically doing it. Not when I can go places and buy stuff, have it given to me, etc. and not have to consider bad consequences beyond how pissed off my busybody neighbors will be because god forbid they have to look at something they don't want to see now and then.

And I pretty much like being able to sleep at night, I have enough shit to worry about without adding to the list. Not going to go there -


I think I came off wrong in my initial post, not to make excuses but I had just gotten home from the bar and was checking my messages and stuff before I went to bed. Too much instant asshole kit (just open can/bottle) for me. For which, I apologize - I was wrong to condone theft in any form, intentionally or not.

 

This really is a stupid thread, is it alright to take someone else's property? No. But people who you would'nt consider a thief are often opportunistic if they think they won't get caught and the circumstances are right. Its sad and if I know of anyone like that I definitely don't hang around with them. What comes around goes around.
